James had a kingsmill white bread complexion, he blushed slightly it seemed like someone had spread strawberry jam over his cheeks. His hair was the colour of custard that had been watered down severely like the nasty one they served back in primary school that I begged the lunch ladies not to let near my cake. I didn’t care that the cake may have been dry I didn’t want that shit near my cake.

well except that “milky” complexion is a pretty common descriptive adjective for white women in novels, especially fantasy novels. Or “snow”, or “cream”. So I don’t see the difference. I mean, it’s boring and typical and cliche, especially the “coffee” colored skin simile/metaphor, but I don’t find it particularly racist. Besides, if someone constantly compared me to cake, I think would be okay with that.
Clearly this white girl missed the point. Clearly.

I’ve said that a few time, but it’s not a suicidal ideation. It’s me not wanting to inhabit the same earth as some of the most disgusting people that I’ve encountered recently. As I don’t usually associate with such people in my everyday life, I’ve come to find that many of them exist here on Tumblr.
Earlier I re-blogged this picture of a person dressed in black face, holding skittles and ice tea, and wearing a hooded sweatshirt.
This person is despicable, and her youth does not excuse her behavior. If she had the stones to post this picture, she should be able to take the feedback. I’ve seen some people wishing her harm or death, but that’s not my style. I don’t want anything physically to happen to her, but I’d love for her to have some consequences for her actions. However, I am highly doubtful of that happening.
As I’ve shared before, I try to avoid talking about racism on this blog for mental health reasons. I don’t have the time or energy to take on every racist asshole that crosses my dash. What I’ve learned from following the comments on that post is that:
- People find it funny, some even quite amused that there was a watermelon in the background to enhance the racist stereotype.
- There is an actual thing called “Trayvoning”.

So let’s take a second to let this sink in. A teenager is dead. He was shot while unarmed by an adult male. These are the facts, there are many more things involved here, but this is what we all know to be true without re-hashing all the news stories.
Regardless of someone supporting Zimmerman or not, this is fucking unacceptable. For fun and laughs, people have decided that it’s ok to further torment Martin’s family by repeatedly doing shit like this. I’ve had it with these people. And before anyone tries telling me that I’m making a big deal over this and not about the beating death of Kelly Thomas, or of others who have been killed without cause; don’t fucking dare. The lost of any life is a terrible tragedy, especially if that loss was violent and unjustified. However the striking difference here is that people have not decided to be disrespectful of the others killed in these circumstances. The fact that “Trayvoning” even exists is a clear indicator of that.
What these people are doing is deplorable and shows an utter lack of human decency. I happen to be African American, but had the child shot dead by Zimmerman been of any other race, and people were mocking his death like this, I’d be equally outraged. We are humans beings. A fellow human is dead, yet people are continuing to act as if it’s a joke. This is bullshit and it has to stop.
Whiteness and it’s tangible connection to racism.
I don’t care I wish death and harm on all these sick fucking sub human shit bags. I curse them and not by swearing I mean I actually curse them. Anything and everything bad that can happen to a person I want that to happen to them.
That stain on humanity lying down on the ground I would be happy if a lorry ran over it repeatedly.
I never used to tell people to kill themselves until now kill yourselves it does not matter what with just do it life is wasted on you and people like you

Fantasy Genre and POC
I find it sooo damn funny when White people use the whole “it’s historical, you darkies weren’t there” and blah blah blah reason to justify the exclusion of POC from fantasy fiction. Yet when POC have just the one fantasy book, or game about them White people want to inject themselves and find bullshit reason as to why.
Avatar the Last Airbender film had white protags even though the main characters in the series are not white and the world they live in is high fantasy mythical Asia.

Yet a POC in something like the Hobbit is just not allowed.

I think the only other times I saw Black people in fantasy medieval europe other than Merlin and Dr Who was in Black Knight with Martin Lawrence (everyone thought he was just a Moor that was visiting from Normandy, France) and Morgan Freeman as a Moor in Robin Hood
Dragonball Evolution based on Chinese folklore

And of course Neil Gaiman’s Anansi Boys was to be made into a film but the producers wanted to remove the mystical elements and have the characters be White instead of Black but Gaiman told them Fuck no.
Earthsea was another book that had a POC main cast and world but was whitewashed in the film adaptation even in the Anime.
The Arkh project features POC in a high fantasy game whenever have you seen that? And with a Black lead hero character that is genderqueer? I mean there are so few Black females in video games to begin with but can anyone name me one that is the lead? All I can think of is Catwoman and Shinobu from No More Heroes 2 and you only get to play as her for a short amount of time then its back to Travis
Yet there were white people upset that there wouldn’t any white characters (there are 2 but very minor.)
White people have soooooo many fantasy books, films, tv shows, video games based on Europe with White people and even hijack POC fantasy be content with what you have and let us have ours. Bitching like spoiled children, really.
