verbalcryogenics asked: Is this racist? Because if it were “Try Our Hip Hoppin’ Watermelon Sauce” with a silhouette of a dude with an afro, I know I’d feel some kinda way about it.
Ok, it’s probably necessary to mention at this point that it shouldn’t and doesn’t matter what race I am when I tell you that the image of the Kung-Fu Chinaman is just racist as all hell. But also, you should know that everyone’s kind of mad at you now, for even putting the phrase “Watermelon Sauce” in our heads, goddamn that’s a gross image.
For the love of God, would people stop using IF WE DID THIS TO BLACK PEOPLE HOW WOULD YOU FEEL as a fucking litmus test for all things social justice-related? It literally makes me sick.

I know you can say you feel something is racist or offensive without using Black people as a example. It is not that hard at all let me show you.

“This is very racist and very offensive to Asian people. The faux ‘oriental’ font that is used every fucking time! Kickin Asian with a martial artist silhouette WTF? What type of one-dimensional minded racist dickhead came up with this? A simple try our new sweet a sour dipping sauce would have been enough.”
